Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max Officially Launches

Apple today announced the iPhone 15 Pro Max, marking a significant shift for the flagship lineup. The device ditches the stainless steel frame in favour of aerospace-grade titanium, making it the lightest Pro Max in the series' history despite a larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display.

What's New

Titanium Build: The grade-5 titanium frame is the same alloy used in spacecraft. Apple claims a strength-to-weight ratio superior to any previous iPhone material.

USB-C with USB 3 Speeds: After years of Lightning, the iPhone 15 Pro Max ships with USB-C that supports up to 10 Gb/s transfer speeds — enabling fast ProRes video offloads to an external drive in the field.

A17 Pro Chipset: The 3nm A17 Pro brings a new 6-core GPU with hardware ray tracing support. Apple demonstrated console-quality mobile gaming with Resident Evil Village running natively.

Camera Upgrades: The 5x telephoto lens (up from 3x on the standard Pro) uses a tetraprism design to achieve greater zoom range within the same chassis depth.

Pricing and Availability

The iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199 for the 256 GB configuration and is available in Natural Titanium, Blue Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium colourways. Pre-orders opened immediately, with general availability following one week later.
