One UI 7 Arrives on Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung has begun the stable rollout of One UI 7 to Galaxy S24 Ultra owners worldwide. The update, based on Android 15, introduces a revamped visual design and a suite of Galaxy AI features that were previously limited to newer hardware.

Key Changes in One UI 7

Redesigned Interface: The lock screen, notification shade, and Quick Settings panel have been rebuilt from scratch. Notifications are now grouped by app stack rather than chronological order, reducing clutter on busy days.

AI Photo Remaster: Building on the generative editing tools from Galaxy AI, the new Remaster feature analyses older photos in your gallery and applies contextual enhancements — sharpening detail, reducing noise, and adjusting dynamic range without altering composition.

Circle to Search Improvements: The update deepens Circle to Search integration, allowing users to search within apps that were previously unsupported, including third-party video players and PDF viewers.

Battery Optimisation: Samsung engineers report a 12% improvement in standby drain on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant through governor-level tuning included in this release.

Rollout Schedule

The update is available as an OTA download in South Korea and the United States first, with European and Asian markets following over the subsequent two weeks. Users can manually trigger the update via Settings → Software Update.
